10 Things I Hate About You - Just 'cause you're beautiful, that doesn't mean that you can treat people like they don't matter

Bianca and Kat are sisters, but their characters are completely different. Bianca is outgoing and loves partying, but Kat hates all things Bianca loves and she is a bit antisocial. Bianca has always wanted to date someone, but her overprotective father does not let his daughters to date in fear of teenage pregnancy. Cameron is a new student at school, and he has a huge crush on her when he first saw her. His friend Michael tells him that she is just an arrogant girl and she is probably out of his league. As a matter of fact, his father only allows Bianca to date only if Kat has a date first. To fulfill this condition, Cameron has been trying to find a date for Kat. Patrick seems to a perfect date for her, but he is uninterested in her. To hook them up, Cameron asks Joey to pay Patrick to date Kat. As the same time, Cameron knows Bianca wants to know French, so he volunteers to be his French tutor by teaching himself French first.

Patrick tries to hit on Kat, but he gets no luck. With Cameron's information, he begins to catch her attention. He tries to listen the same type of music she likes so that they can have a common topic. Kat gets drunk in the party and she starts to have feeling for him. She is bummed when Patrick pulls away while trying to kiss him. But they get back together when he sings her a song in front of the whole school. Originally, he dated with her just for the compensation, but now he is really in love with her. Kat was dumped by Joey before, so she didn't believe in love before meeting Patrick. Patrick has changed the way she looks at guys that not all guys are misogynists or jerks. Patrick was a complete jerk before, but he grows while dating Kat. He now knows what love really is and starts to care about others, even for Cameron's love life.

Bianca loves Joey and she feels like he loves her too. But the truth is Joey dates her just because he had a bet with his friend. Bianca was blinded by him, because she just wants a partner and be invited to prom. But the longer she stays with Joey, the less attractive she finds he is. Cameron was so disappointed that Bianca is not interested in him at all and she has treated him like nobody. When Cameron starts to confess his true feelings to Bianca, Bianca realizes that she was so infatuated with Joey that she has neglected Cameron the whole time, the one who truly loves her. They kiss in the car and they start dating from then on.
