Camp Rock - Wow, you really know how to make a guy feel better

Music is Mitchie's life, but she has never performed in front of audience, because she is a shy girl. Going to Camp Rock has always been Mitchie's dream, but her family cannot afford the fee. Fortunately, her parents wins the contract of Camp Rock this year, so they are able to bring Mitchie to the camp with a discounted price. Mitchie is so excited to hear this news, because her dream has finally come true. Mitchie knows that she is not as rich as other campmates, but she still wants to fit in. To impress other kids, she starts to make up stories about herself and her family. Tess, possibly the coolest kid in the camp, finds Mitchie's background intriguing, so she invites Mitchie to sleep together in the same cabin and sing with her in background. Mitchie is a talented songwriter and singer, but she does not show it off most of the time. Shane overhears Mitchie singing her own song, but he does not know who the singer is. He finds her voice so beautiful, so he is dying to find out who she is. Mitchie run into Shane while she is in kitchen and the other time when he is playing his guitar. Caitlyn always has beef about Tess, so they get into a fight when Tess thinks that Caitlyn trips over her on purpose. Mitchie knows Caitlyn is the one who started the fight, but she did not stand up for her when asked by Brown. As a result, Caitlyn is required to work in kitchen as a punishment. Unsurprisingly, Caitlyn finds out Mitchie's real identity when working in the kitchen. Caitlyn understands why she was trying to hide in the first place, so she did not reveal Mitchie's secret to anyone else. Meanwhile, Mitchie starts to bond with Shane, because he thinks they share similar experience and background. Accidentally, Tess finds out who Mitchie really is, so she reveals the truth to everyone else in the camp. Shane is disappointed that Mitchie lied to him the whole time, so their relationship is falling apart. What upset Mitchie the most is that she is not allowed to perform in the final jam because Tess accused Caitlyn and her stealing the bracelet.

Final Jam time has arrived, everyone is busy preparing for their performances. Tess thinks her friends cannot keep up with her, so she vents her anger on them. Her friends cannot put up with her anymore, so they quit and decides to perform separately. Mitchie always want to perform on the stage, so she begs Brown to let her play after the final act.

There is nothing wrong wanting to fit in, but fitting in might not as easy as you thought. To pretend someone that not you are requires you to keep making up stories cover another lie. It is not fun to lying to your friends. It is also embarrassing when they find out the truth. Be true to who you are. It does not matter where you come from, what only matters is who you are. If you are nice, everyone wants to be friend with you.
