Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam - This is what summer camp is all about
It is summertime, so it is time to join another summer camp for sure. Mitchie has not seen her love interest, Shane, for a whole year, so she is so excited going back to camp and spend the whole summer with him. While heading towards the camp, Mitchie notices something different this year, a new camp is organized across the river. The new camp is called Camp Star, which literally means it is a place for creating superstars. While Mitchie and her friends are doing their performance, Camp Star sends parachutes to invite them to their bonfire. They think it is going to be fun, so they set off without a second thought. Impressed by Camp Star's performance in the bonfire, some Camp Rock campers and staff switch to join Camp Star instead. Most campers stay, but Camp Rock has lost a number of staff which makes them impossible to run the camp. To keep the camp running, Mitchie and her friends decide to take up the roles of counsellors. It was tough at first, but they manage to run it smoothly with their efforts. To show Camp Star they also got the moves, Camp Rock performs on the same stage again. To decide who's the winner, both camps agree to do a final jam on a broadcast TV show. When Mitchie realizes that their resources are way less sufficient than Camp Star, she is afraid that they might lose in the competition. To step it up, she is now in charge of arranging the show and making it grander. Campers just want to have fun in the camp, so they prefer having more time to play rather than rehearsing. Mitchie does not see eye in eye with most campers, so she is a bit mad and depressed. She thought Shane was the only one who still understands her, but she was wrong. Shane also wants to have fun too, but he changed his mind when he realizes that the responsibility of saving the camp should not be entirely on her. To take up the responsibility of saving the camp, campers in Camp Rock are working together to put on a great show. Meanwhile, Nate falls in love with Dana when he first saw her performing in Bonfire. To get in touch with her, he often snoop on her across the river and try to meet her by crossing the river. It did not go well at first, but Nate bonded with Dana when he sang off his feeling to her.
Not everything has to be perfect all the time, sometimes things are better when they are perfectly imperfect. As the old saying goes, the ultimate goal of competing is not to win but to enjoy the competition. It is fine to lighten up sometimes, because we don't have to be uptight all the time.
Michie has changed a lot since the last summer camp. She was not really a leader in the last camp, but the appearance of Shane caused her to change. Now, She is not a shy girl anymore, she is able to lead other campers. She is not hiding who she is, but she is showing her real self and music to everyone with no shame.
