Clouds - What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?

Zach Sobiech has been struggling with bone cancer, and he has undergone chemo. Sammy Brown is his best friend since his childhood. They love playing music and they always want to make music together. After many rounds of treatments, Zach is bald now, but this doesn't stop him from performing in front of the whole school. He has a huge crush on Amy, and he finally has the courage to ask her out for a picnic. Before the date, he acts strangely, so his mum takes him to see doctor and perform a surgery immediately after. He is upset that he missed his very first date, but what upsets him the most is learning that his cancer is terminal. He pushes Amy away, because he doesn't think they are going to have future. He decides to stop chemo, because he wants to live normally for the rest of his life. When he is asked to write a college essay, his first thought is what is the point of writing it when he is not getting into college anyways. His teacher inspires him to really think about what he wants to do when there isn't much time left.

His mum learns that there's a magical place in France that might heal him, so her whole family goes on a trip to France. Before the trip, Amy finds him and they become friends again. Sammy has got tickets for Jason Mraz's concert, so Zach invites Amy too and asks her to be his prom date before the concert. One night, Zach can't sleep, so he sneaks into Sammy's house. He accidentally finds out she has been loving him since they were young. It's a bit awkward, but they think it's better off if they stay friends. They start writing more music and Sammy uploads their videos online and it has become a hit. Zach has been down after the bad news, so his dad borrow a race car to cheer him up. Zach later drives the car with his girlfriend. Zach is hesitant when they are about to make out, so he runs away and leaves her alone. His teacher shares their song with his friend working in the music industry and thus gets them both signing to a contract to become singers. Zach's family and Sammy fly to New York to sign the new label, and on their flight back, he comes up with a song called "Clouds", which becomes a viral hit and would be played on the radio. Because of that, they are invited to perform at the Metro Theatre. He wants to Amy to be there, so he apologizes to her and they reconcile. It's known that Zach can't make it to the prom, so his family plans to make the concert to be his prom with his classmates. His condition has been deteriorating, but he insists to perform at the concert. He has his dream come true.

It really hits you hard when you know that your time is limited. Sometime, life is so unfair, but you can do nothing about it, except accepting the fate.
