Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves - That’s a risk we’re going to have to take

The film follows a group of unlikely heroes who must band together to save the world from a powerful evil. Edgin is a harper whose duty is to sneak in as a spy and ruin their operation. He lives happily with his wife, Zia, and daughter, Kira. However, after one of Edgin's operations incites the Red Wizard, they retaliate by killing his wife. Following her death, he quits being a harper and flees with his daughter. A barbarian named Holga helps them start a new life by turning to theft. Together with a conman named Forge and a sorcerer named Simon, they form a team to steal together. They agree to help Sofina steal things from the vault. Edgin accepts because he wants to get the Tablet of Reawakening to resurrect his wife. During the mission, Edgin and Holga get caught, but Forge promises to take care of Kira. Edgin and Holga break out of prison and learn that Forge has become a Lord. They reunite with Forge and Kira, but Forge tells Kira that Edgin and Holga left her for the treasure, causing her to stay with Uncle Forge. They also learn that Sofina is a Red Wizard who plotted their capture. Forge orders to kill both of them, but they manage to escape. They still want to get back the tablet and Kira, so they ask Simon and recruit Doric, who is able to do shapeshifting. With her ability, they learn that the vault is protected by a magical spell, which they can break with the Helm of Disjunction. Asking Holga's ancestors, they learn that Xenk, a paladin, knows the helmet's location. Xenk agrees to help them retrieve the helmet after Edgin swears to share the treasure with the people. They are able to leave with teleportation but face challenge when Simon has a hard time attuning to the helmet. Doric hides herself in a crate and gets in the castle, while Edgin, Holga, and Simon trick the guards and find their way to the castle. Edgin finds Kira but discovers she is actually disguised by Sofina. Edgin begs Forge to put them in the arena instead of killing them. Doric discovers that all the treasure has been loaded onto a ship. During the game, they escape with Doric's shapeshifting power and quickly occupy the ship afterward. Forge threatens to kill Kira if they don't leave the ship, revealing who truly loves her. They get rid of Forge and sail away but witness Sofina summoning the undead. They go back to take her down and fulfill their promise to Xenk. With them fighting as a team, they trick Sofina and take her down. Holga gets shot during the attack, but they use the tablet to resurrect her, because they know how much Holga means to them.

They have finally made it, but they did fail so many times before the success. Do not expect to get what you want in one go without failure. The truth is we all have failed so many times to be who we are. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes when you have nothing to lose.
