Groundhog Day - But if I ever could, I swear I would love you for the rest of my life

Phil is a weatherman in Pittsburgh who works with producer Rita and photographer Larry. They are required to travel to Punxsutawney to cover the upcoming Groundhog Day on 2nd February. He is not interested in Punxsutawney, so he just wants to go back to his home once covering the event. However, he got stuck in blizzard, so he does not have other choices but to stay there for the night. When he wake the very next day, everything is so familiar to what he did on 2nd February. He realizes that he got stuck on 2nd February in a time loop. He understands that what he does has no consequences at all, because things will reset after the midnight. Therefore, Phil goes all out doing crazy things, but it feels like nothing has happened on the very next day. Besides, he also makes use of the time loop to get an upper hand in a relationship. He wants to go all the way with Rita, so he keep collecting her little secrets by repeating the A/B testing in conversation in the time loop. It goes pretty well at first, but it goes west when he tries to make out with her or tell him he loves her so much. Phil is down for being rejected so many times, so he has been trying to kill himself. Obviously, none of his ways work, and he wake up in one piece every time in the morning. One day, he tries to convince Rita that he got stuck in a time loop, and they begin to feel the spark between them. Though he still wakes up to the same thing, he is now more optimistic than before and tries to make every single day a meaningful day for himself and people around him. He starts picking up something he has never done before, helping someone live better and saving people's life. He is now a different man, and Rita is impressed by his new qualities. To his surprise, he unwittingly makes Rita fall in love with him. The love they have is so genuine that helps him break through the time loop eventually.

What makes a relationship so special is that the love is genuine. It is hard to force someone love you if she has no interest in you. Getting to know every one of her secrets does not really pull her closer to you. To get to know someone is not only about knowing one's hobbies or habits, it is way more than that. If you want to befriend with someone, you get to treat someone with heart. You need to let that someone to be familiar with you as well, or it is just a one-sided friendship. Dating with someone is more or less the same, except you also have to make your crush attracted to you as well. Knowing what she likes is just the basics, you need to impress her with your own qualities or magic.
