Hamilton - History Has Its Eyes On You

Alexander Hamilton is an orphan and has a hard in his early life. In 1776, he meets and get along Aaron Burr and other friends, because they are all aspired to make the revolution happen. In a ball, he meets Eliza and falls in love with her shortly. He later married to her. George Washington appreciates Hamilton's talents, so he asks Hamilton to become his right-hand man. To defend Washington, he aids John Laurens in a duel against Charles Lee. As his wife is pregnant, he ends up being suspended by Washington, so he can stay at home with his wife. As the revolution is progressing, Hamilton comes back to help them with the battle. After winning the Battle of Yorktown, he ponders what should be done next. Hamilton has developed a new financial proposal for the new country, but it fails to win support from Thomas Jefferson, the secretary of state. Thomas Jefferson cannot agree with Hamilton on the issue of whether to assist France in the conflict, so he decides to discredit Hamilton with James Madison and Aaron Burr. When Washington stepped down, John Adams became the second President, and he soon fired Hamilton. After being dismissed, Hamilton knows he has to write his way out this time.

Hamilton is not a high-born man, but he has talents. By writing his way out, he makes himself successful by his own efforts. It is not exaggerating to say that the nation would not become what it is today without him. He is one of the founding fathers and the first secretary of treasury in the nation. His most prominent contribution is probably building a strong foundation for the financial system in the country. He might not be perfect at all, in particular he is not a good husband. He committed adultery with a young woman while his wife was not in the house.

Though being one of the founding fathers, Hamilton receives much less attention than other fathers. However, it does not mean that the contributions he made were not significant enough. He certainly deserves more attention.
