High School Musical 3 - You might be ready to say goodbye to East High, but East High's not ready to say goodbye to you
Time flies, they are all senior students now, which means this is their last year of high school. Troy is still the basketball team captain, so he is leading the team to compete for the championship again. Undoubtedly, wildcats wins (again!). They are about to graduate, so everyone starts to talk about the future. Miss Darbus wants to do a musical about senior year, so she asks her students to join the production. They were reluctant in the first place, but all of them are interested in joining after being nudged by Troy and Gabriella. Gabriella is going to Stanford, because this is her lifelong dream. But for Troy, he did not make the decision. His Dad is dying to see him going to the same college with him since long long time ago. Being admitted to his Dad's alma mater has always been his dream, he was trying hard to get in the college last summer. But now, his mind has changed, he does not want to the basketball guy only. He wants something more, but he does not want his Dad disappointed as well, so he is struggling to make a decision. Gabriella was notified that she has been accepted into the Stanford Freshman's Honors Program, but she is on the fence. She knows it is valuable opportunity, but she does not want to leave high school so early. Troy knows that he is one of the reasons holding her back, so he persuades her to chase her dream. They know it is time to say goodbye and part ways, but they just do not want to. Inspired by Gabriella's aspiration, Troy realises that he should be the only one to control what his future will be, not even his family. High school is not meant forever, so it is okay to throw away high school things and people after going to college? Troy does not feel like this way, he values every relationship he had in the high school.
It is always hard to say goodbyes. I just don't think there is someone who is good at goodbyes. It is normal to want your friends and family to stay forever in your life, but life does not work like this. People come and go, and you just cannot slow things down when it starts changing. All you can do is to accept it and give them heartfelt goodbyes, because you never know when you will meet again.
Chasing the dream has been a notion for most people, but it is not easy to realize it. If you were given a valuable opportunity to make your dream comes true, but you had to leave everything behind, will you still take it? It would be a tough decision for most people, because letting go of something you have is probably the least thing you want. What if it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, you either take it now or never? Life is always like that: you cannot be greedy, so you just cannot get everything you want at the same time.
