High School Musical: The Musical: The Series S02E01 - It's a start of something great and a chance to turn the page

After the musical, the new Wildcats have a strong bond with the cast. Ashlyn wants to throw a New Year's Eve party, so she invites every one of them to her home. Nini and Ricky are back together, and Ricky promises he'll never leave her again. Nini loves him too, but she has a plan. She secretly applied for Youth Actors' Conservatory and she got in. She's been meaning to tell him, but there wasn't any right moment for her to say that. She waits until the party and reveals she is leaving in front of everyone.

Big Red wants to be there, but his parents want him to work in the family business on that day, so the only excuse is to ask his friend to order pizza. He can then be the delivery boy to visit Ashlyn's party. He has a thing for Ashlyn, and they finally share a kiss in the countdown. The kiss is ruined by Miss Jenn who comes out of nowhere. Contrary to the rumors, she announces that they're going to do a musical on Beauty and the Beast.
