High School Musical: The Musical: The Series S02E03 - Every girl likes a sweet gesture
It's Valentine's Day, and everyone is planning for some little surprises for their lover. Nini and Ricky are worlds apart, but they still want to make this day special, so they come to one another's house one day before, but both of them are not aware that the other one was doing the same. On the Valentine's Day, Nini needs to take care of her mom, so she can't meet Ricky in person. They have prepared a song for each other, so they sing it on phone and leave it as a voicemail. Gina misses her mom, because she is not with her mom this year. She reaches out to Ricky, because his mom is also not living with him. She finds comfort when sharing the same feeling with Ricky. After he leaves, she finds a box of chocolate at her door and mistakes it as a gift from Ricky. She sends a thank you message to Ricky, but she later realizes it's just a gift from her mom. Carlos is also spending the first Valentine's day with Seb and he prepares a special gift for him. Seb originally wanted to send him a card only, but he knows he has to prepare something more special in return.
Ashlyn becomes the lead of the musical, but she knows she doesn't appear to be a typical Belle. She loses her confidence in the rehearsal. On the other hand, her boyfriend, Big Red is afraid that he might not be cool enough to date the leading actress, so he has been trying to act cool the whole day. Kourtney starts working in Big Red's family pizza shop. She was criticized by an employee but later earns his respect by making some small changes. Later that night, Kourtney belts out in kitchen while Ashlyn and Big Red slow dancing.
It is easy to compare to one another when you start dating. You may doubt whether you are pretty or cool enough to date that person. But if they've already chosen you, why bother with that?
