High School Musical: The Musical: The Series S02E05 - When we dance, we're all stars

Carlos's birthday is around the corner, so Seb wants to throw a surprise birthday party for him, a quinceañero that he never had. Nini has returned to Salt Lake, but she only sits there doing her homework in their rehearsal, because she wasn't casted in the musical. Ricky wants to performance on stage with Nina, so he struggles whether to ask Jenn to cast her again. He asks Gina again for relationship advice. She doesn't want to the one that Ricky confides in about his problem with Nina. She wants more than that, but she doesn't tell him her true feelings. In the party, Gina performs a dance move that Carlos did when he was to pay tribute to him. Seb sings him a song. Carlos also chooses Miss Jenn as his madrina, which means godmother. Ricky's father chaperone Ricky to the party. It's obvious that both Ricky's father and Miss Jenn have little something going on between them. On the other hand, Mr. Mazzara is getting fond of Miss Jenn. He has been mentoring EJ to help him learn to capture the stories of others.

To Gina, this is not just a birthday party, it's her goodbye party. She plans to move back to her home. When Miss Jenn realizes the North High has changed the production to Beauty and the Beast, she decides to cast Nini in the musical.

It's hard to be friends with someone when you still have feelings for that person. You have to pretend nothing happens between you and that person, but when you can't, it's just hard to maintain the same friendship you had before.
