Ricky accompanies Gina to the set as it's her first day as the lead in a Hollywood movie. Gina returns just in time for the table read. They are rehearsing the scene where Troy and Gabriella try to spend every moment together before graduation. They dance perfectly to 'Can I Have This Dance' because they secretly practiced until midnight. It's revealed that Jet from the camp is now studying at East High and will play Chad in the musical. Jet's sister, Maddox, also shows up as the movie's personal assistant. Ashlyn is surprised to see Maddox because they have been texting non-stop for the last couple of weeks, but Maddox never mentioned this news. Ashlyn wonders why they act so awkward in real life even though their text chain has been amazing. Seb and his family are working in catering for the movie. Carlos confronts Seb on the spot, but Seb dismisses him. The director was unsure about Gina's performance, but she's impressed when Gina nails the first scene. Mr. Mazzara returns to East High and gives Ricky and Kourtney advice about their college applications. Kourtney has been working hard on her letter of recommendation as she wants to get into a top college. She gets confused and helpless when Mr. Mazzara tells her that she doesn't have to be perfect in every sense. Since Gina might not have time to play Gabriella in the musical, Miss Jenn is actively searching for someone else to fill the role. Gina is willing to teach Mack how to act if Mack teaches her how to become a star.
