High School Musical: The Musical: The Series S04E06 - The universe works in mysterious ways

The production of the movie has concluded, and Gina and Ricky are ready to return to rehearsals. However, they are surprised when Miss Jenn informs them that the musical has been cancelled. Without a rehearsal to attend, they take a walk down memory lane.

Ashlyn shares how she became friends with Kourtney. Since Ashlyn had no friends in school, she bumped into Kourtney while she was designing costumes. They decided to sign up for the audition together. Mr. Mazzara also opens up about his love for music. He used to be in a popular boy band before being kicked out. He also apologizes to Miss Jenn for an awkward encounter they had.

Carlos then reveals how Miss Jenn comforted him when he was bullied at school. Seb admits that he dated Natalie before dating Carlos, but now they have reconciled and are on good terms. Gina felt helpless when she was transferred to East High. Ricky wanted to sing a song Nini wrote to ask for her forgiveness, but he was unsure. He sought advice from Gina, who encouraged him to sing the song during the audition to impress Nini. Gina also decides to sign up for the audition.

Miss Jenn shares how she got the teaching job. She ran into Alyson Reed while auditioning for a musical. She was uncertain about taking up the teaching job until Alyson told her she could be a good teacher. Emmy sings a powerful song in the empty theater, moving the cast emotionally. They realize that saving the drama club is not just for themselves, but for the next generation.

Alyson and Bart announce that they have decided to donate part of their salaries to fund the drama club. Ricky unexpectedly receives an offer from Salt Lake City College, even though he didn't apply. Gina also receives another offer.
