Last Night in Soho - They're a blessing and a curse

Eloise is a young woman who lives with her grandmother in the countryside. Her mother committed suicide when she was a child, and she has a psychic ability to see her mother around her from time to time. She loves fashion, especially 1960s fashion, and she even wears the clothes she designs herself. She moves to London to study fashion design alone. London can be a lot for anyone, and when she is on her way to the dorm, the taxi driver warns her that it is risky for a young woman to live alone. When she gets out of the taxi, she feels like she is being followed.

Eloise is assigned to share a room with Jocasta, but they don't get along because Jocasta thinks Eloise is always whining about her parents' death. Eloise goes out with Jocasta and her friends on her first day, but they tease her and say they don't want to be friends with her. Eloise realizes she doesn't belong there, so she moves out of her dorm and finds a room to sublet from Ms. Collins. Ms. Collins has strict rules, but Eloise agrees to them because she needs a place to stay.

Ellie has a vivid dream about going back to the 1960s, where she meets a girl named Sandie who dreams of becoming a singer. Sandie gets in the club and tries to impress the middle manager, Jack, who helps her get auditions. Jack and Sandie begin a love affair. When Ellie wakes up, she is inspired by Sandie's fashion sense and designs a dress that her teacher compliments. Ellie also meets a boy named John who is interested in her, but she rejects him because she is more interested in her dream world. Sandie nails her audition and gets a chance to perform on stage. Ellie feels like Sandie is her alter ego and starts dressing like her. She can't afford the expensive clothes, so she gets a job at a bar to pay for them. One night, she sees Sandie perform on stage, but to her surprise, Sandie is just a dancer, not the main performer. Sandie is also forced by Jack to socialize with his other clients. Jack is just a pimper of her. Over time, she feels lost, because it doesn’t matter what her identity is. She is just there to serve them. When Ellie wakes up, she begins to have difficulties in telling the reality and her dream apart. She needs to get some fresh air instead of staying in her room. As a result, she goes to a party with John, where she also meets Jocasta. After drinking the drink that Jocasta offered her, she starts hallucinating. She feels like the old men from the 60s are coming after her. She freaks out at the party and leaves with John. She wants to take her mind off, so she asks John to come by her house. When they are trying to sleep together, Ellie has a vision that Sandie was stabbed to death by John. Ellie loses her mind again and asks John to leave. When she is making a scene, she inadvertently wakes Ms. Collins up. Knowing she has broken the rule of bringing guys back to the apartment, Ellie apologizes to Ms. Collins the next morning. Ellie wonders if she knows anything about the death of Sandie, Ms. Collins dismisses Ellie saying that it’s normal that someone gets killed here and there. Ellie is traumatized by Sandie's death, and she has a panic attack when she sees a model wearing the dress she designed after Sandie. Ellie believes that the old man who has been following her is Jack, and she reports her suspicions to the police. However, they do not believe her and send her away. Ellie is determined to find out the truth, so she investigates on her own by reading old newspapers in the library. There’re so many cases of felony during that period, so she tells the whole story to John and asks for his help. She feels like the old men are coming after her again, so she acts out and almost stabs Jocasta whom she thought is one of the old men. Ellie tracks the old man down and tries to confront him. He denies and walks away. He gets struck by the car while he is crossing the road. Ellie learns that the old man is Lindsey, an ex-police officer who once convinced Sandie to live a better life.

Ellie knows she is not suited to stay in London, so she plans to move back to her old place. Ellie needs to inform Ms. Collins that she is not renting the place anymore, so she goes back and asks John to wait outside. Upon learning that Ms. Collins' first name is Alexander from the envelope, Ellie realizes that Ms. Collins is actually Sandie. Ms. Collins reveals that the young Sandie died in the house. Sandie didn’t get killed by John, she was the one who stabbed John to death. She continued killing other men who tried to sleep with her. The men coming after Ellie were not trying to take advantage from her, they wanted Ellie to fight back and get the justice they deserved. John gets in the house to check on Ellie but gets stabbed by Ms. Collins. Ellie manages to drag John out of the building before it gets burned down.

Ellie's dream of becoming a successful fashion designer came true thanks to the dress she designed based on Sandie's inspiration.

The plot is full of unexpected twists and turns, keeping the viewers guessing until the very end. The visuals are more captivating than the story, with stunning cinematography. The story is engaging and suspenseful, but it is the visuals that truly make the film stand out.
