Love, Victor E05 - It’s easier to focus on fixing other people than on your own stuff
It's the day when Victor finally turns 16, so his family is going to throw him a party. Their family are going through a hard time, so Victor thinks this could help cheer them up. Benji and Derek show up in the party, but Victor thinks it is better to conceal their romance, because he doesn’t want to make a scene with his homophobic grandfather. Later, he decides to stand up for them because he find it wrong to ask someone not to be themselves. This conflict does not worsen their relationship but indeed bring them together. At the party, Victor finally takes Mia as his girlfriend officially. At the end of the day, he finds out his father is not that open minded as he thought.
We have always been taught to be true to ourselves but it is just hard. If we don't conform to the social standard, we will be labelled as outliers or weirdo. Parents also have expectations on us, but there is always between their expectations and our own desires. Figuring what we want is as hard as defending it. People are always hard on you, but you do not need to get everyone's approval. Being true to yourself is the only you should do for your life.
