Love, Victor S02E08 - Sometimes people don't know what they like until they try it

Isabel walks in on his son having sex with his boyfriend. She doesn't say it is appropriate, but Benji knows she finds it disgusting from her look on her face. Benji stands up for Victor by saying that sex would be ok to Isabel if it is not gay sex. Victor knows it is hard to convince his mom to accept it and he doesn't want to make a scene, so he asks Benji to leave. The next day, Isabel asks Armando to come to tell Adrian what Victor has been going on. It goes quite well as Adrian already knew what gay is. What confuses him is that why Victor had a girlfriend before. To make him easier to understand, Armando just says Victor changes his taste when he finds something better. Benji expects Isabel to apologize to Victor for her overreaction. Instead, Victor thinks Benji should be the one to apologize for being mean to his mom. Victor just doesn't think Benji understands what coming out is like in a non-white family. White people are generally more liberal than non-white people, so Victor believes that Benji has been too hard on his mom. On the other hand, Benji doesn't know why Victor didn't speak up for himself. Rahim overhears Victor leaving an emotional voice message to Benji. Victor honestly tells Rahim all the problems he has had with Benji lately after Rahim promises him not to tell anyone anything he said. Benji skips the school, which makes Victor worried about him, so he decides to visit Benji's house. Benji misses having fun with Victor, because they have been arguing a lot lately. However, Benjie is angry at Victor again when Benji finds out Victor told his secret to Rahim, so he thinks it is time to take a break.

After breaking up with Lake, Felix spends a night with Pilar on couch, and Felix thinks he has never been this happy lately. Pilar is definitely having a serious crush on Felix, so she decides to ask him out after nudged by Rahim. Felix reveals his mom will be discharged next week, and Pilar is proud of him. Pilar doesn't what else to say, so she kisses Felix. Felix kinda pushes Pilar away, so she runs away embarrassingly.

Mia's father gets a better job offer in California, so he wants to move his family. Mia knows her father always put work before her, so she doesn't even try to reject him. Mia's friends are surprised that she has to move away, especially Lake. Lake has lost her boyfriend already, so she can't afford losing the best friend of hers. She originally wants to defame Mia's father by tweeting something bad in his name, but Andrew manages to stop her from doing it. Andrew is Mia's boyfriend, so he would be missing Mia as much Lake would when Mia was gone. To make her stay, Andrew lets Mia know how much he loves her and convinces her to beg her father to stay. Mia talks to her father and asks him to do her a favor for this time. He agrees at first but walks back his words later on.

Trust is one of the most crucial things in a relationship. It is hard for someone to get over it after betrayal. Lake betrayed Felix's trust and ends up having him broke up with her. Victor didn't learn from her mistake and betrayed Benji by telling one of his deepest secret to Rahim.

White? Sorry. I did not mean to be presumptuous. Um, it's just most of my friends are white, so they don't get it at all. How can you love your parents when you hate a lot of what they believe in? But you do, because you know how much they sacrificed to build a life for you.
Everything was amazing, and now it feels like all we do is fight.
