Love, Victor S03E08 - It might be the last time we're all together for a while
Victor accepts the Bravery award and gives a speech about being brave and true to yourself. The speech inspires Lake to think about what she wants. She did find Felix and spend a night with him after breaking up with Lucy. However, she knows she still loves Lucy, so she has to do something to mend the relationship. Her mom has a place, so Lucy can stay there rather than moving to Portland. In the speech, Victor mentions that he fell in love with a perfect guy, who obviously is Benji. Nick knows that Victor still has feeling for Benji, so he walks away. Victor knows that Benji is about to move away, so Victor comes to Benji's hosue trying to tell what what feeling he still has. However, Benji has decided to go to boarding school already. Mia has decided to move to Palo Alto, because her family is there. She doesn't believe that long distance is going to work, so she tries to break up with him. Victor's speech also inspires Mia to be brave and admit who she loves. She still loves Andrew, so she is willing to continue the relationship with him even when he's far away from her. Felix originally wants to date Lake again, because they really had a good night together. But he also realizes what he wants when Lake tells him that she still loves Lucy. In the Winter Carnival, Felix apologizes to Pilar for not being there with her when she needed him the most. Felix tells Pilar that she deserves a boyfriend and a better one, but Pilar brings him in to take the family photo together, and they get back together. After dumping Nick, Victor goes to the Winter Carnival with his family and friends and he wants to goes on Ferris Wheel ride alone, because that's what he did on his first school day. When he is about to go in, Benji shows up. They go on a ride together, and Benji has realized that his parents are the trigger for him to drink again indeed. They kiss and make up.
Do you ever wonder what would've happened if we'd just gone on that Ferris wheel together when you first moved here? No. Not really. Because... that isn't our story. This is. And... it's perfect.
There're tons of things that we're scare of in our life, but if we can embrace the scary and be a little braver, wouldn't it be more complete? If we didn't get brave enough to do things, we would have regrets in our life and wonder what would happen if we did that. Having that, life doesn't always have to be perfect. The perfectly imperfection of the life makes you your very own personal story.
When Victor first comes to school, he feels lost and doesn't have many friends. After he makes friends with people other than Felix. He even becomes friend with Andrew and inspire other gay kids to be brave to themselves. Mia took love seriously, but when her family is not around with her, she realizes how important her family means to her. Lake was obsessed with social media and she just wanted to be a cool kid at school. After a year, she dated Felix and Lucy. She finally figures out what she likes and fights for it. Andrew was mean to Victor when he first came to school. But when it comes to love, he is a whole different person. Andrew is willing to do anything for love. Benji has always been a cool kid at school. He obeyed his parents, but he now knows what is good and bad for him, so he goes back to Victor when he knows how much he loves Victor. Felix was weirdo that introduced himself even before Victor's family moved in. He's always been a loyal friend to Victor. He might sound a little bit weird, but he is really a caring partner. He is now able to open up his feeling. Pilar hated everything when she first moved in. In just a year, she makes friends and she dated Felix, the neighbor she found it weird the first time. Victor's parents were religious and definitely not accepting parents. They love their son, so they try to accept the fact and make him feel more comfortable for who he is. They got off a rocky start, so they're now doing great to support Victor in his journey navigating his life.
