The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent - Not that you went anywhere

Nicolas Cage plays a version of himself in the movie. He has starred in some big movies and he is still struggling with his career. He has been so busy with his career that he has neglected his wife and daughter for so many years. He decides to retire from acting after losing a big role and crashing his daughter's party. His friend, Richard Fink, receives an invitation from a billion, Javi. It pays well, so Nick agrees to meet the billionaire to be his guest in the party. Javi indeed is a big fan of Nick's films, so they hit it off right away. Nick is approached by CIA agents telling him that Javi is a kidnapper who has kidnapped daughter of a Catalan politician. Nick feels bad for the daughter, so he agrees to help by prying on Javi. Nick feels like he is doing a good job, because having a good acting skill would make him a good spy. He is bonding with Javi while collecting information from him. Javi figures out Nick misses his family, so he make up a reason and ask Nick's wife and daughter to come here. They are mad at Nick when they find out it's nothing. Nick doesn't want to drag his family into this trouble, so he seeks help from the CIA agents. This leaves Nick no choice but to kill Javi. Javi didn't know Nick was spying on him until his cousin told him. It turns out Javi's cousin, Lucas is the real mastermind, while Javi is just a figurehead. In order to survive, Nick and Javi have to kill one another. While they are trying to make the move, Lucas's man have been trying to kill both of them. They both love one another so they decide to work together to escape from Lucas's man. They manage to escape, but Nick has to save his daughter and the politician's daughter. Nick knows that he has to make his way back, so he and his wife disguise as some other criminals to get into Lucas's place. Their secret plan got figured out by Lucas, but they still manage to escape with the captives. Lucas keeps chasing them until they have arrived in the embassy. Lucas grab Nick as a hostage. Nick's daughter throws him a knife and he uses it to kill Lucas.

Nick later stars in Javi's movie and he gets a big round of applause in the movie's premiere. When Javi asks him to join the after party, Nick declines, because he has something better to do. He returns home and spends quality with his family. His relationship between his wife and his daughter is much better than before after the little incident.

He has been trying so hard to fix the relationship with his family, but it didn't go well every time. After the little incident, his wife and daughter knows how much he loves them and he is a inseparable part of the family. Sometimes, it just needs to take some luck to have everything fixed.
