Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist S02E04 - You have to wake up every day and choose happiness

Yeah, life will do that to you. It's not like you have to only feel one thing at a time. You can feel all of the emotions at the same time. Like, happiness, anger, grief. Look, you got this... You got a massive hole in your heart that you just can't fill. And I understand that. But the good news is that eventually that hole will scar over. You can wear that scar like a badge of honor. And it won't define you. It'll deepen you. It could... and you'll learn how to draw strength from it.

George is a whimsy chubby guy that Zoey kind of enjoy talking to him, but it turns out he did not perform well on his job. The result leaves Zoey no choice but to fire him directly.

Mo and Max are not getting along well at the beginning of the business. Mo wants the place to be blessed, so he invites his friends and do a karaoke cleanse, which obviously not enjoyed by Max. He think it is not fair for him to do all the works while Mo is just getting all the fun from partying.

David is going to celebrate his 100th victory at court, but this doesn't impress him much. Working as a lawyer definitely makes his family better off, but he doesn't enjoy doing much now than before. He has been dying to spend more with his family especially after his baby was born. After the passing of his father, he feels like life is too short that he doesn't want to miss a single moment with his newborn son. He treasure quality family time, so he has the urge to quit his job. His wife, Emily didn't support his decision at first, because of the ramification of losing a huge portion of income. She didn't want to ruin the plan they had, but she doesn't want to see his husband being unhappy on the job either. They have to change the future plan one way or another, but as long as they are standing by each other, it is not that big of a deal.

Maggie is doing great in the business after coming up a fantastic design with Jenna. Jenna hints that the client, Roger, might be interested in her, which Maggie didn't believe in her at first. Later, Roger did try to ask Maggie out, but Maggie turns him down saying that she is not ready for a new relationship. She feels like beginning a new relationship soon after his husband's death is a betrayal to him. She just does not feel good about it.

I guess no one wants their loved one to be alone for the rest of the life. When the significant other is gone, the other one still deserves to be happy.
