After consulting the therapy, Zoey realizes that she has to do something to make it up to Simon, because she had been neglecting him all the time. She originally wants to spend the whole weekend out with Simon alone, but Rose suggests that they can do a charity run together with her and Max. Simon finds it fun, so they are going to the run in costume. In the Bay to Breakers, everyone seems so high, except Zoey and Max. It is so obviously they don't like dressing up and running in peculiar costume, but they do it anyways because of their significant others. It was fun but also exhausting. After the competition, they sit down and have a meal at Maximo. This turns out to be a double date for them, but it is a bit embarrassing for them as Zoey has dated both Simon and Max. Therefore, it is unavoidable for them to talk about what they did when they were still together. Max suddenly sings out loud to express his desire of moving to New York. Zoey finds it off putting, because she doesn't want him to leave. They are not a couple anymore, but it seems weird for Zoey not wanting Max move out with Rose. The therapist says many of her closed ones left in her life, so she cannot afford another loss. She doesn't want to be abandoned by someone she loves anymore, but Max is not her boyfriend at the end of the day. Zoey has to accept the fact that her best friend cannot stay with her forever, and Max wants to take a break from their friendship.

Perry sees Mo as his partner, so he would like to introduce him to his ex partner. Perry thinks Mo and his ex partner are of different personalities, so he is afraid they might not be getting along. However, it turns out that they like the same movies and actors, which makes them bond so well. Perry's ex husband and Mo have different vibes, but they don't have any problem with each other. The problem is Perry, because he is the only worried about them. He is not ready to be with another gay partner again, because he still cares what others see him. Mo does not want to date anyone that is not ready to come out, so he thinks it might be a time for them to break up.

Ever since Deb took Maggie to casino, Maggie becomes a frequent gambler in casino. She is so lucky that she has been winning money on a streak. Fearing that Maggie might become an addict to gambling, she tries to spy on her. Just like others, Maggie does not like being stalked, so she is a bit mad at Deb. Indeed, Deb just wants to check on her to make sure she does not have gambling addiction, because her husband was a serious gambling addict. Maggie forgives her and assure her that she can still control her obsession of gambling. Maggie is unstoppable in the casino that she has won a huge sum of money. She does not know how to spend it, so Zoey suggests that they can go on a vacation together.
